The new Shimano Stella 2500 HG FJ Spinning Reel

efficient with improved durability. The new Micro Module II
provides a new ideal gear design and gear teeth surface for amazing
smoothness and nearly twice the strength of Shimano’s already
unmatched gear durability. X-Protect makes the new Stella up to
five times more resistant to the long term damaging effects of
water than the previous model, so every turn of the handle is sure
to feel as good as new even after years of use. Plus, new Silent
Drive, long stroke spool, tangle proof rotor design, and a host of
other new high end features means Stella truly represents a
benchmark in Shimano spinning reels.

HAGANE Body
HAGANE Body means this reel has a high rigidity and zero twist. The
body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body
flexing. The result transforms the anglers actions directly into
cranking power. It’s efficiency through strength.

HAGANE Gear
Hagane Gear is at the very heart of the reel and creates strength
and durability. The entire cold-forging process is calculated in
minute detail by special 3D design and the result is precision
durability.

Micro Module II
State-of-the-art, gear tooth surface design and MicroModule Gear
II, are further advanced through Shimano’s exclusive manufacturing
technology. The surfaces of the drive gear and pinion gear have
been analysed and updated from the ground up in pursuit of
perfection.

E.I. Anti-Corrosion Surface Treatment
After the adonisation process is finished, a second layer of
surface treatment is added. This treatment is forced into the
remaining surface impurities. This gives salt no hideout and also
results in an extremely smooth-to-the-touch finish. A reel with
E.I. treatment has more than double the corrosion resistance of a
standard anodised reel.

G Free Body
G Free Body technology has been developed to shift the reel’s
centre of gravity closer to the rod. By moving the centre of
gravity closer to your hand position, the G Free Body helps to
reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.

X-Protect
By combining our water repellent coating and our specially
designed, water channeling labyrinth construction, X-Protect
provides high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear
and rotor rotation.

Cross Carbon Drag
The drag material provides a wider range of drag settings, along
with the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever.
